Hello all :)

Guessing your all wondering whats happening with league play, just as I am. I would love to set a date to start but so much is still up in the air with COVID as well as locations to play at. But I'm working on getting more tables into places. I'm shooting for late Sept or early October to start league play, if the Island stays safe from COVID after the summer.

I would like to host a BAR B Q League meeting sometime in late Sept. Still looking for a place that's available big enough outside that we can gather safely. If you have a spot please let me know.

Last week I was given the opportunity of taking the Avalanche over and turning it into a pool hall. There's a lot to still figure out before I sign papers. There will be renovations to be done to make it COVID friendly, web page designed that you can book and reserve your table time on line. Need to buy more tables preferably 41/2 x 9, let me know if you come across one. Than the big question? Can I do it?

The Elks Hall has also decided to let me put 4 pool tables in their. This will keep it to a max of 20 players at Chalks and Elks Hall and 40 players at the Avalanche. This allows us for 16 teams on Wednesday and 16 on Tuesday, at this time.

Teams that have already said they're coming back will have first priority to confirming their night for league play. If they lift the ruling of only 50 people max in a room than the Avalanche will have room for more teams.

There will be a few changes, ALCB has put up a few rules to follow:

* Balls will need to be cleaned after each match, I will have two sets of balls for each table.
* No shaking hands or hugging
* Cue racks disinfected or purchase your own. I may know where to get one for a great deal ;).
* There will be no walking around with a drink in hand and you must stay seated if your not playing. Bathroom breaks only.

I think the way I'm going to design the Avalanche it will work excellenta and still be fun for all.

New League Format 5 player teams 25 game format and all matches will be played on 2 tables.
This will limit the number of players in each section of the venues.

Wednesday nights it will stay as is with only two A players can play per round. Having 3 A's play in a round won't work using an handicap system. But we can always start a 3 on 3 6 round format A division in the near future.

Tuesday three B players to play per round. This will also help the teams that may need to switch to Tuesday.

Looking for fun positive talented people to help turn the Avalanche into a pool hall If anyone has the skills in carpenter, painting, building a bar, removing a wall, electrical, web design or just want to come out and help clean or lend a hand wheres needed. If your interested would love to hear from you asap to discuss what you can do and my costs. Together we will build a kick ass pool hall for the Comox Valley.

I just want to say how thank full I am to all that could afford to give me your team money back. Every time I think about it it brings tears to my eyes. So much love in this league. I won't lie the last few months have been tough but I did not use any of it. If that wasn't in the bank I probably won't even considered starting a pool hall in this crazy world right now. I do need it to renovate but I will pay back each team with something special once pool hall gets going. You all believing in me may just be enough for me to succeed.

Thank You much love and BIG HUGS to you all.
Rose :)
