Hello Everyone

For all those who have been asking about Ed Johnson, he was released from the hospital this morning and is now home and resting.

Week 2 of this season shows that everyone has dusted off their cues and are here to play!! Many great matches and games played!

Congrats to the following players for the stats they got :-)

Serge S with an ERO and a First Attempt
Gary A, Werner O, and Dave B each with an ERO
Jim B, Randy B, and Jason R each with a First Attempt
Bernie C and Richard B with a Zip
Great shooting guys!

Because we are a league with players of all skill levels, please remember to be patient with our new players just learning the game over the first few weeks of league play. Showing sportsmanship can only benefit individual players and this league as a whole :-)

Handicap will now be in effect starting week 3
Players that have not played 2 weeks must use the handicap rated for their skill level (A,B or C) these can be found in your team handbook

REMINDERS

* Any outstanding CCS fees must be paid ASAP

*Please take the time to complete score sheets properly, include both team names, total amount of fees paid, sportsmanship score and ensure that stats are circled on both score sheets. This will ensure that the stats are entered properly and makes my job much easier :-) Thank you

*There is still one team with $8 outstanding for the team kit, can you please collect from your players and add to your envelope next week of play

*Month End 8 Ball Tourney is this Saturday Sept 24th @ the Avalanche Bar and Grill
Tables open at noon and play starts at 1pm
$10 entry and $2 table fee and once again the bar is adding $100 to the pot!
Please call or message Deb Williams (250 465 8422) if you are coming but may be a few minutes late so you can get on the roster for the draw @ 12:50 pm.

* CCS Island Championships is now open for registration. If you are interested in playing this year, Rose has asked that you register now and can pay closer to the event! November will be here before we know it! Hope to see most of you there competing, it is always a great time and great experience for players of all skill levels :-)

Schedule is posted for the next few weeks, the rest of the schedule will be posted after our 1st League Meeting of the season on Wednesday October 12th @ 6pm at the Avalanche
This first meeting of the season we will be covering the following items....

- scheduling
- playoff format
- prize fund payouts
- trip(s) arrangements

If meeting runs long, team play will start at 7:30pm

One last note.......The Do Not Disturb Sign

If you are in need of a question answered or a referee and you see the League operator or Administrator or Refs with cue in hand, please be considerate of them playing their game and wait until they are done or go to the next person inline that can be of help. If you are unsure of who they might be please look in your team handbook as the names are listed there :-)
Thank you

Hope you all have a great week and will see you all Wed night!
Cheers ;-)

Deb
