It was so nice to see we could build a team on such short notice for this event. And very thankful that Chris & Jessica and Richard & Tracy opened their homes to us for that weekend.

Now for the bad news :(

It seems that they can not accommodate our team on such short notice...deadline for entry was June 1st and it was by invitation only. I was not told this in July when I first asked about putting a team in. They hired me to supply 5 tables for the event and said their budget was low so I suggested if we added a team if that would help. I was told at that time I could. Now I'm told that I would have to bring 5 more tables 10 in total and they would do there best to get us approved by the organizer from the mainland. I did not get a guarantee on our entry.

Today I decided this has been more of a headache than I asked for and pulled our team. I was told they would consider us for a invitation next year.

Sorry all I wish we could have gotten to play...but at the same time if their this unorganized maybe it's best we didn't.

We still have 9 Ball Tuesday at Chalk, 10 Ball Wednesday at the Avalanche. Mark your calendar for the last Saturday of the month tourney at the Avalanche August 29!

I'm off to the cabin for two weeks and Deb and Jason will be running tourneys and Darlene doing 50/50 draws.
