Vancouver Island Team Challenge is June 6th & 7th here in Courtenay. Every year I pick the team but this year decided to have a tourney to build the strongest team possible. This event brings out the best players from 11 leagues on the Island and I would like to build competitive team.

The plan was to have a tourney tomorrow May 16th at the Avalanche...tables open at noon starts at 1pm. Well it’s most unfortunate that I missed that it is a long weekend and most A players have made plans and can't make it for tourney. We will still have a tourney but decide before toureny how many players will qualify tomorrow for the Island Team Challenge.

To guarentee a start to a competive team and be fair at the same time, I thought a good way was to choose the four players that had to give up their spot and couldn't make Penticton.

3rd - Ron Horton.....took trip
4th - Wayne Stewart
5th - Robin Ward
6th - Brian Ferguson....took trip
7th - Gordon Walls
8th - Al Wingert
9th - Gary Adams....took trip

All players that didnt take trip above Gary Adams qualify for the Island Team Challenge. If you dont want this spot on team please call me asap.

12th - Bill Lamemee
