Summer Singles started last night and we had 35 players out. The league is built but remember I can't send emails out weekly to show your stats. The reason I cant send stats is the program is it is built for teams but I make each player's name a team and input score individually. There's no players on the team so the program won't send stats. You will have to go to our web site comox.pplms.ca, click on Play on the top bar than click on statistics, then click on session and choose Summer Singles. Sats will also be posted on bulletin board at the Avalanche.

Island Team Challenge is June 6th and 7th and it is confirmed we have 11 teams attending. This means our league can only put in one team. I have a list of 24 players that want on the team. As always we want to build the strongest team possible to represent our league. Every year I choose those players to form a strong team because competition is fierce. This year because the interest is so high from so many strong players, it's a tough decision to make. It's going to be a long day on the Saturday there will be 7 matches and than 4 on the Sunday, same as Victoria last year. I would like to have up to 10 men so we have spares and we need 3 ladies minum. I had mentioned before that if we couldn't put in 2 teams we would have a tourney on Saturday May 16th. Double knock out for the men and a round robin for the ladies if there is more than 3 that want on team. Hope to see you all out on Saturday May 16th tables open at noon, starts at 1pm, $10 entry, $2 green fee, we'll pay the top four.

Tuesday 9 Ball at Chalk we will move start time back to 7pm, tables open at 6pm. There was 11 players out and the pot did not go.

There has been a lot of concern from players about breaking the league into two division. I would like to hear your thoughts by email than I will address them. Our grape vine sometimes is clouded and would like to hear it straight from all of you ;)
