What a great night for stats on Wednesday, there was 3 players with two stats. Dave Wetmore, Peter Hsu and Fergie each got 2 first attempts, sorry Fergie you were subbing :( Gary Adams, Werner Ostwald, Eon Moore, Chris Wade, and Johnny Stoyles each had a ERO. Gill Hudgen, Robin Ward, Bernie Caton, Carl Behan, Gordan Walls and Rob Horton each got a first attempted and Dave Young a ZIP. Great shooting All!

This Saturday the Island Tour 8 Ball Singles Tournament is at the Avalanche Bar opens at 10am, starts at 11am and is paid out in skins format. Every match you win come see me and get some cash! I'm bringing in another pool table so we will have 8 tables for the event. Come on down ladies hoping to get enough ladies out to have our own division! Entries are based on average or known skill ability, unsure what your ranking is give me a call.

At 10pm there is a Bob Marley tribute band and all pool player's in tourney get into the show for free! Tickets are $20 for guests.

Valentines Feb 14th Scotch Doubles Tournament at Chalk Lounge was a full day of some great pool and lots of laughs to be had by all! We had 19 teams competing for the grand prize of a one night stay in the Forbidden Jacuzzi Suit with Champagne and brunch in the morning value $300 and sponsored by Best Western Plus. The prize pot was $380 cash from entries and there was also over $300 in prizes sponsored from C.A.P. Billiards LTD and lots more prizes from the bar!
Once a team lost they had first pick of a prize, everyone left the bar a winner!

Best dressed couple was Jason Rushton & Jen Waller.
Jen Waller won the pool cue.
Frank Zitelmann won the 50/50 draw of $81.

1st Richard Breuker & Rose Kantor Forbidden Room plus $80...and yes I bought him out for $150

3rd Richard Johnstone & Karen Rathlou $80
4th Don Randell & Darlene Mercer $70

The final match could have gone either way, you could tell that the long day was starting to take a toll on both teams in the final match. We had them 2 zip on a race to 3 and they came back and won the next 3 games putting us on the B Side. Then we had a race to two and they won the first game and we the next two to take the win! I thank all of you for attending and helping make this a successful and fun event and look forward to next years Valentine's Scotch Doubles Tournament!


Tuesday 9 Ball at Chalk Lounge was another great turn out with 19 player. The 9 Ball pot did not go and next week the pots at $943. with 7 draws. Richard and Bruce split 1st & 2nd

YANA Raffle winner of $75.50 on Wednesday was Carl Behan... to date this year we have raised $2223 :)

Tuesday our teams leave for Penticton for the CCS BC Championships and I would like wish you all the best of luck. I'm so proud of all the accomplishments from so many players in this league. We've all come a long way over the years and have some great champions in this league.
