Week #17

There is only two weeks left to qualify to win a spot on the top two teams to represent the Comox Valley in the CCS BC Championships in Penticton Feb 25 to March 1. It's a pretty tight race in POY points in the men's division for the top 5 men and the top 4 ladies look like they got a good grip on their trip. Two weeks left and a few stats could change the final out come for both teams. Good luck all!

Last week I missed inputting two first attempts, one from Werner Ostwald and Richard Brueker. Can you all please double check scoresheets and make sure all stats are circled on both teams sheet before you sign it. When inputting I go off of home teams scoresheet so it's easy to miss them and would hate to see someone lose a state so close to qualifing for Penticton. It was another good night for stats, congratulations to Cory Waugh got his first stat and Zipped Steven Royer. Fergie shot great and got two ZIP's, Bernie Caton as well with two first attempts and Jim Brown and ERO and a first attempted. Chris Wade, Rob Horton, James Lalonde and Jason Rushton each got a ERO. Dave Young, Jessica Wade, Gordon Walls, Richard Brueker and Al Winghart all got a first attempted. Excellent shooting all!

YANA Raffle I forgot to mention that last week Frank Zitelman won $82.50 and this week it was I the lucky winner of $78, to date we have raised $1747.50!

Tuesday 9 Ball at Chalk Lounge we had 29 players out and the $2367. 9 Ball pot was won by James Lalonde. Next weeks pot is at $500 with 3 draws. The lounge is allowing us to use the two 41/2 x 9 tables and would like to get as many players out as possible each week. When there is a great turnout it will be up to the tournament director's discussion to drop 5,4, & 3 race to 4,3 & 2 to have tourney done by midnight. Lounge opens at 5pm and draw could be done by 6pm depending on how many players. Tourney will always start on a 32 player sheet and will start at 6pm, will allow entries up util 7pm after that time all spots unfilled will either become a bye or moved to a smaller chart if there is to many byes. Last weeks winners:
1st - Adam McKay $105
2nd - Richard Breuker $75
3rd - Jason Ruchton $55
4th - Jim Brown $35
