Week #2

Look who's in first place! Congrats to Chalk-N-Awe our last years B Division playoffs champs.

Great to see everyone helping out teaching the new players the rules. Handicaps start this coming week and their are a few players still learning the rules, I ask all to continue on being good sports. We had 6 new players out and I found a team for each to play on. If your team used a new player and it was just for that night, please let me know so I can find a team for that person.

There is enough players this year for all teams to have their own spares. As the league grows each year so does my work in the office and I look for ways to be more efficient. By making it the captains responsibility to keep a full roster of regular players as well as spares will make it so much easier for me when doing stats. Eliminating the need to use players from other teams will clean up the stats of those who play on more than one team. Than the captains don't need to add scores from numerous teams played on to get players correct average, and no more me correcting this in office when done wrong. No more last minute calls to me on league night to help find a player for a team. It is now the captains responsibility to keep a full roster of regular players as well as spares. If your one of those teams in need of a permit player or a spare please call me, there are still a few around.

Stats on Wednesday sure where flying, with 11 in total.
Jessica Wade, Tracy Cross & Gary Adams each got a ERO
John Robinson got a ZIP
John Daniels got 2 First Attempts
James Lalonde, Rod Milligan, Rob Horton, Conway Pauls and Peter Hsu each got 1 First Attempted.

Handicaps start this Wednesday for all players that have played 8 games. If you have played on more than one team add your score and divide by number of games played to get your correct average. If a player has not played 8 games and they are listed as a A player beside their name they go in as a 10 average. Players ranked B & C or have a X beside their name go in as a 8 average. Teams bringing in new players must contact me before that player plays, to insure that player gets a correct ranking.

CCS $20 Registration Fee is to be paid on your first night of league play, captains if there is no R beside one of your players name please collect before they play again.

Score Sheets are to be filled in correctly by entering the sum of money paid by each player. Not a check mark please. Check that the rounds won are correct and filed in on the top of score sheet. After each captain has signed score sheet give your opponent a Good Sportsmanship rating from 1 being worst to 10 being the best.

YANA 50/50 Raffle we added another $101 to the pot, so far this year we have raised $623.50. Tracy Cross was the lucky winner last night of $101.

Free Pool Sundays at the Avalanche is with the purchase of a drink or food and not to be abused. Holding the table all day and practicing with out spending money could result in losing free pool on Sundays. I have been getting complaints from the bar that customers come in to have a beer and a game but can never get on a table because of league players. I ask all league players to show respect and give up the table if you have had it for a wail.

Vancouver Island Championships Nov 12-16 is only 55 days away! Website is now up for all to register http://www.cdnqsport.com based on the success of last years tournament I expect full fields in all division. Register online now to guarantee your spot.

Tuesday 9 Ball at Chalk Lounge there was 18 players out and all voted to keep it at 18 players weekly and to start at 6pm with 9 Ball break at 8pm. It looks like it was a great night for the ladies with 3 finishing in the money. Great shooting girls and Terry ;)

1st Deb Williams $75
2nd Chrissy Kobus $50
3rd Terry Iriye $35
4th Gail Szymanski $20

There was 12 draws for a chance to have a shot at the 9 Ball pot...but it did not go...next week the pot is at $1248 with 13 draws!

Captains please ask all your players if they are getting league emails, if not please but their name and email on envelope.

Good Luck and Good Shooting and most of all Good Sportsmanship from you all.
Rose
