I'm very excited to announce that I will be hosting next years Islands Team Championships here in Courtenay.

It was decided before the tournament to donate the money we won to Fergie and Danita to help them through these tough days and it's a great start to the fundraiser mentioned below.

Dear CVPL players,

Here is the information regarding a fund raiser for Fergie on this Wednesday Night. Sorry for the short notice.

One of the Comox Valley Pool League player and Twins players from the Masters Baseball league could use a
little boost and a helping hand.

We are having a fund raiser at the Casino this coming Wednesday June 11. And welcome his friends from
baseball and the pool league to join us.

It is short notice but we didn't want to bug people for weeks and we just want to give Fergie a little boost
with a few unexpected expenses that are not covered by his BC medical.

We are having a beer and burger night at the casino during game 4 of the Stanley Cup final in the lounge.

The cost is $25 per person and that gets you a burger, house beer or wine and a $5 gaming voucher.

We have a few items for our silent auction and hopefully we get the license for a 50/50 draw.

Game starts at 5, therefore see you at 4:30 and we will present the silent auction items and give out the
50/50 at the end of the game.

We are selling tickets now and will be able to sell at the door as well.

Game at 5, burger, fries and salad at 6. Beer anytime!

Hey, it's baseball, pool, hockey and giving a fellow player a little positive boost.

Thanks and hope to see many of you.
From:
Dominick Grenier AND
Tony Wishart, captain of the Twins AND The Twins team

It is most unfortunate that the fundraiser is on league night but if you would like to go for the dinner at 6pm just tex me and I'll get you signed in. Half of the money from the burger sales at the Casino will go to Fergie and Danita and I'm going to talk to Chris and John at the Avalanche today and see if they can do something as well. It is very short notice and business has been very slow for them but there will be a donation box at the Avalanche and I will donate something for the silent auction at the Casino.

Tuesday 9 Ball Pot at Chalk didn't go and it is now at $650 with 11 draws. Only room for 18 players tonight so come early, tables open at 6 starts at 7pm, $10 entry, $2 green fee.

Good Luck, Good Shooting and most of all Good Sportsmanship!
Rose
