We have some super stars in our league! Congratulations to team Magic Moments with captain Werner Ostwald, Ron Douglas, Jim Brown, Christie Tipper, Rob Horton and Clay Gloslee. For the first time ever, a Canadian team from B.C. captured the National Title in the Men’s Open Team 8-Ball division at the 2014 American Cue Sports National 8-Ball Championships. Summer League at the Avalanche we had another great turnout with 23 players. Congratulation to Phil Asturi and Terry Iriye for both shooting a perfect score of 60. Phil moved into first with 100% win ratio gonna be a hard place to hold on to we have some great shooters playing. If this was the season end and 2 players were tied at the same win ratio first would go to the player with most stats. This program is built for teams but I have altered it to work for singles the best I can. I like the fact that 1st place is won by win ratio not by who shows up the most and gets the most points. We will still pay the top 4 players at season end and $5 for each stat you get. You still need to play a minim of of 6 weeks and pay your $10 registration fee to win year end cash and play in playoffs on July 30. Swollen Members will not be coming to the Avalanche on June 4th so league will remain on the Wednesday night.

8 Ball at Tournament at Chalk we got week # 2 off and going. With a little hard work recruiting new customers we ended up with 5 players. I donated the $10 raised in $2 green fees and 30% of pot went to playoff prize fund makes $25 in that pot. Playoffs will still be on Aug 6 and top 2 each week win spot in playoffs, over the next few weeks is your time to win your spot before it gets busier towards the end.

Winter League Champions and Good Sportsmanship Winners if the name on the gold plaque on your trophies does not have you team name as well as players on it please take into Engrave It a.s.a.p. so they can correct it. You can just take the gold plaque off and write the names out correctly and drop off and ask them to call when ready for pick up. Please call me and let me know once this is done.

Last Saturday of the month Tournament at the Avalanche is May 31 entry is $10, $2 green fee and bar adds $100 to the pot. Hope to see you there :)
