Week #21 Stats

Once again we have another new team that moved into first place, congratulation to Breaking Bad who took 4 rounds off of Rack-No-Phobia to move into first place. Looks like a little bumping back and fourth between Christie Tipper and I for top lady as well, maybe we'll finish the season in a tie :)

Makeup Matches are not allowed as stated in your team hand book. I do allow them because of players that win trips to national events. All make-up matches must be played at location they were schedule to play at and approved by me before hand. If this is not done, I will not except the score sheet and you will be ask to play your match as scheduled.

Video tapping of matches has been happening from Peter Hsu lately and I think it is a great idea. It seems a few of the players do not agree, so I ask Peter to ask each team before they play if it's okay. If one player disagrees than he will not tape that match. I will be bringing this up at next meeting because a lot of players would like to video tape our playoffs final matches.

Last Saturday of the month tournament at the Avalanche tomorrow tables open at noon, starts at 1pm, $10 entry, $2 green fee and bar adds $100. Hope to see all Penticton winners there we need to practice.

League envelopes are to be dropped off with Darlene Mercer at the Avalanche next Wednesday night.

Please note table changes for next week at the Avalanche. I moved matches off of table 6 and 5 and left those tables for the public.

BC CCS Championships Feb 25 to March 2 and we have 3 teams going to represent our league. Our top 4 ladies and top 5 men won paid trips from the league. Richard Smith owner of Aqua Temp has sponsored a third trip and put together a Breaking Bad team with Larry Abernathy, Jim Brown, Dominick Grenier, Sasso Gahtani and himself. I think we have a great chance to put the Comox Valley on the map of champions once again. Wishing everyone the best of luck and remember to show how good of sports we are here in the valley.

We have 3 refs that are moving on up and will be putting in their time at the BC Championships. Congratulations to Fergie, Rob Horton & Conway Pauls for dedicated the time to do so.

Good Luck, Good Shooting and most of all Good Sportsmanship from you all.
Rose
