Week #11 Stats

The message below was sent out on Thursday the 28 well we thought it was, some players said they didn't receive it. So today Deb and I tried to get on program to check our scheduling and news letter and it kept coming up system failed. I send a error report to tec and all is fixed now. Sorry about the late info on last Saturdays tournament but mark your calender next one is Saturday Dec 28.

This Saturday the 30 at the Avalanche is last Saturday of the tournament tables open at noon, starts at 1pm, $10 entry and the bar adds $100 to the prize pot.

League fees are $11. until end of the year as voted on at meeting. This is to cover the cost of sending 10 teams to the CCS Championships in Nanaimo with no change to the prize fund.

9 x $250 C Division Team Entries = $2250
1 x $300 B Division Team Entry = $ 300
11 rooms x $111.87 tax included =$1230.57
Half of 1 room at $56 tax included = $ 56
Total cost of trips was $3836.57 our budget was $4000

The Break Does Not Count As A Shot there still is some confusion about this rule. So I called CCS today to get conformation....if you break and than your opponent doesn't make a ball and you come back and run out it's a ERO...if they sink a few and than you come back and run out it's a First Attempt. I know we have all made this mistake and I can count 2 at least for me. But there is no way of proving which match this happened in so there is nothing I can do to go back and correct this. We must all try and remember the break doesn't count as a shot.

I did forget a few more players that placed at the championships in Nanaimo. Team Choc-O-Lot with Deb Williams, Gloria Lloyd Jones, Ed Johnson, Brian Flurer, Vic Prevost & Ted Harms finished 4th and won entry into next years event. Tracy Cross and Larry Abernethy took first in Scotch Doubles Second Chance event.

Good Luck, Good Shooting and most of all Good Sportsmanship from you all.
Rose
