Wasn't That A Party!

I must say what a great banquet! The food was delicious, the band Machine Gun Kelly was excellent and the dance floor was full all night. Who knew we had so much talent in our league. Deb you did an excellent job singing your voice is amazing. Jason you sure nailed the hip and Conway you sure looked like you were enjoying yourself you rocked those drums my friend. I can't thank all of you enough for all the compliments at this event and the ones that keep coming in emails, phone calls and more bottles that are showing up on my doorstep. I'm most fortunate to be able to make a living out of something I totally enjoy doing. Thank you Wayne for the bottle of Jager that showed up on my doorstep the next day. Cheers to you all!

I'm so happy that we could support YANA as a group and big hugs to Conway and Lynda for their donation that brought us to $2545. The Cue raffle we raised $950 and by the end of the night Fergie & Danita added another $200, so Cory we have a fund of $1250 my friend towards your new sled for hockey. Conway would like me to plan a charity concert with him on the drums playing all his music from the Guess Who to help raise the remainder that Cory needs for his sled. Whatever we raise above this amount he would like 50% to go to YANA and 50% to our league next year. I think sometime in June would be great, I will post date once I figure out all the details.
The raffle we did for all the prizes was to send a team to the Island team Challenge June 1st & 2nd in Campbell River we raised $650, $250 is our team entry and the rest for our rooms for one night. I'm still waiting on confirmation from a few players once there in I'll post the names of our team.

If anyone out there has a good picture of us giving the cheque to YANA please email it to me and all over pictures so we can post on facebook.

Lots of you were asking about summer singles league our start date is May 1st but this date might get moved forward one week if the back wall hasn't come down at the Avalanche. I will keep you posted.

Over the last few weeks we have not had a good showing for 9 Ball at the Bridge so it is cancelled for the summer. The $135 9 Ball pot will be transferred over to the 9 Ball fund at Chalk Lounge which is now at $191. With so many long weekends coming up we will be changing 9 Ball to Tuesday at Chalk Lounge starting next week. If the interest is there we will turn Tuesday night 9 Ball into a 12 week league session for bigger end payouts.

Thanks again all of you for your support throughout the year and believing in what I do to build a league thats fun and fair for all skill levels of play.
Rose
