Welcome back to another season of organized league play in the valley.
To date we have 16 solid teams and a few players looking for a team if you need a spare.

All players must pay their $20 CCS league fee on first night of league play. Captains fill in the amount each player paid beside their name on the scoresheet, so I credit the correct player.

Although the official World Rules specify no couching during a game, all teams are asked to exercise good Sportsmanship in this regard, especially in the first few weeks, when new teams and new players are adjusting to game and league rules.

Scheduling is one of the toughest jobs to organize when teams are out of different locations. Since there are no handicaps the first two weeks I try to match up the teams by skill level. Next week's schedule I will email to you by Friday and should have the full schedule out in a week or two. The first half of schedule flips so by season end each team will have the same amount of home and away matches. Check web site for updates at comox.pplms.ca

At the Avalanche all league matches will be played in the back rooms. We have changed the table numbers; they are from 1 to 4 in the back room starting at the back entrance, than 5 by the bar and 6 at the front door.

For the teams that haven't picked up your team kit I will be at the Avalanche tomorrow night at 6pm with your kit.

Captains please drop league envelopes off with me at the Avalanche as soon as your match is over. If you can't make it to me call and I'll come to you.
